Simple and imposing, the cross is made of silver 925° and decorated with relief representations of the Crucifixion, Virgin Mary, John the Baptist, the Archangel and Saint Mandylion. The two-tone silver depiction and gold-plated outline offers a balanced combination of simplicity and grandeur, suitable for priestly use and as a spiritual gift of high value.

The Epitheos Cross is worn by the Bishop of the Orthodox Church, but also by the Presbyters, who are honoured with the title of Protopresbyter or Archimandrite. Wearing the Cross, the Bishop or Elder says the following: Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me, both now and ever, and for ever and ever. Amen .
