    • Used for blessing people during services (especially at the end of the Divine Liturgy), homes, crosses, religious articles, new buildings, vehicles, and more.
  3. Funerals and Memorials
    • Sometimes used to bless a casket or grave.
  4. Holy Week and Feast Days
    • On occasions like Palm Sunday, Pascha, and feast day processions, the priest may sprinkle holy water to bless the faithful.

Design Features

  • Decorative Bulb Base: Often enameled or hand-painted with floral or cross motifs
  • Long Neck with Spout or Sprinkling Head: May be topped with a cross or bishop's head design
  • Material: Usually metal (brass or gold-plated), with enamel detailing (like the one in your image)

How It's Used

  • The priest fills the bulb with αγιασμός (holy water).

  • The priest makes the sign of the Cross with the sprinkler while blessing.
