Epirus is a typical variation of a Greek regional costume of the
continental Greece. The costumes like this used to be worn in the
regions by Epirus, West Macedonia and mountaineer Greece. The female
costume consists of a short undershirt, a fine dress with broad sleeves,
the characteristic long wool black vest gold trimmed decorated and
black head kerchief with gold trim at the edge.
