Crowns
Stephana are wedding crowns used in an Orthodox wedding ceremony. Stefana symbolize the glory and honor of being united in matrimony by God. During the Sacrament of Marriage, the priest places the stéfana on the heads of the Bride and Groom. The sponsor (koumbaro or koumbara) - exchanges the crowns three time over the heads sealing the union.
